Sullivan & Hilscher Family Law is a family law & divorce firm located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Mark Sullivan is a retired Army Reserve JAG colonel and a North Carolina State Bar Board-Certified Specialist in Family Law since 1989.  He has limited his trial practice to family law since 1981, and is the author of The Military Divorce Handbook, (ABA, 3rd Ed. 2019).  Kris Hilscher is a North Carolina State Bar Board-Certified Specialist in Family Law, a certified parenting coordinator and has limited his practice to family law in Raleigh since 2012.  In addition to child custody, equitable distribution and other divorce matters, he regularly serves as an expert co-counsel on military divorce cases and military pension division assisting attorneys nationwide in drafting military pension division orders and consulting on military divorce issues.  Vanessa Puhak is a senior associate attorney and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2017.  She is a member of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association as well as the 10th Judicial District and Wake County Bar Associations.  Prior to attending law school, she served our country as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army.  She completed a humanitarian mission in Haiti and a combat deployment in Afghanistan.  Sarah Gerow is an associate attorney at Sullivan & Hilscher Family Law. She was admitted to practice in North Carolina in 2019.  Sarah's experience as a military spouse inspires her to advocate for servicemembers and their spouses.  She works with attorneys nationwide to assist with drafting military pension division orders and other military family law issues, and handles family law matters such as separation agreements, child custody, equitable distribution and other divorce matters in North Carolina.
