Colonel Mark Sullivan (Ret.), A distinguished family law expert, has devoted five decades to serving military families and advancing legal practice. A Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), and 2023 recipient of the North Carolina Bar Association Family Law Section’s distinguished service award, Mark earned the Legion of Merit as “The Army’s Foremost Authority on Family Law.”
Since 1981, his private practice in North Carolina has focused exclusively on family law, guiding countless clients with expertise and compassion. A North Carolina State Bar Board-Certified Specialist since 1989, Mark authorized the Military Divorce Handbook (3rd Ed., ABA, 2019), the definitive military family law resource. His extensive publications, leadership roles, and awards — too numerous to list — reflect his unparalleled contributions.
Mark’s commitment to professional development and excellence has shone brightly through his career, leaving a lasting legacy.
